Bwana Kennel

     My name is Kali Cook. A man and his 5 year old son came to Bwana and took me home with them 12 years ago. That day changed my life forever.

     I am a happy healthy Ridgeback with a great family. Their oldest son used to play with me when I was young, but he has moved to a new home and has a dog of his own now.

     Matthew and Patrick took over, and I always have some one to rough house with. They are teen agers now.

     But my real love is Miss  April. I cant wait for her to come home from work and  I will not let her out of my sight.

     We go on long walks together as often as we can. She feeds me like clockwork and I love to lay at her feet. When her husband Jeff tries to sneak up on her, I whine and get between them and grab his arm with my mouth.

     Mr. Jeff is the man of the house. He has been a companion to Ridgebacks for over 30 years. In fact, he already had a Ridgeback when he and Miss April met 31 years ago, while he was in college . I am his third Ridgeback companion.

     It took me a short while to train my family, but we have been like a well oiled machine ever since. I would not trade them for all the raw meat in the world.

     My little buddy Zuess, a Dachsund went to the Rainbow Bridge not to long ago, I sure miss him.
